PROSECUTORS TO ANNOUNCE IF MEGAN BOSWELL WILL FACE DEATH PENALTY

Prosecutors in Sullivan County should announce in a hearing this morning (Friday, January 22, 2021) if Megan Boswell will face the death penalty in the death of her 1-year-old daughter, Evelyn.

She faces 19 charges, including felony murder and child abuse. Evelyn’s remains were found in March of 2020 along Muddy Creek Road in Blountville. That was after she was reported missing in February 2020 before an Amber Alert was issued.

Megan Boswell has been in jail since her arrest and her bond remains at $1 million.

There will be a follow-up story posted here once the district attorney makes his announcement today.
