PROSECUTORS TO SEEK LIFE IMPRISONMENT WITHOUT PAROLE FOR MEGAN BOSWELL

The Sullivan County District Attorney General’s office announced in court this morning they will go after a sentence of life imprisonment without parole should Megan Boswell be found guilty in the death of her daughter, Evelyn. Prosecutors will not seek the death penalty.

Boswell was charged with two counts of felony murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated child neglect and a host of other charges after her 15-month-old was found buried beneath a shed on a family member’s property in March 2020.

After the decision by prosecutors today, Judge James Goodwin set a status hearing for May 14, 2021 for Megan Boswell.
