Lenoir City police took a convicted sex offender into custody. An officer was patrolling the park when he notice a Ford Edge parked in a secluded area there after hours. Gregory Heath Engle, age 33, was reportedly inside the vehicle with a 17-year-old female. The minor was released to a family member. Engle was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violation of the sex offender registry.

Engle, classified as violent against children, was ordered onto the registry after his conviction for statutory rape in 2004.
