WEATHER SERVICE CONFIRMS TORNADO IN WAYNE AND CLINTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY

The National Weather Service now confirms a tornado touched down in Wayne and Clinton County, Kentucky Sunday night. Preliminary results from their damage survey team indicates a EF-1 tornado with winds of 95 to 100 miles per hour was on the ground for nearly 5 minutes near Hwy 10-09 and Cumberland City. The cell likely produced straight-line winds in excess of 75 miles per hour that destroyed a home on Kentucky East 92.
