Linda K. Kronau, 78, of Crossville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, in the comfort of her home following a short illness. Born in Minneapolis, MN, on June 20, 1943, she was the only child of Vernon and Elizabeth Rosencrantz of Minneapolis, MN. As a graduate of Madonna University in Livonia, MI, she specialized in social work. She enjoyed many varied careers throughout her life, including chair of the Plymouth, MI, Chamber of Commerce, real estate, and was most proud of her achievements with Hospice of Cumberland County, where she served as a social worker. Linda’s love of Christ led to her serving others and she was active in church activities especially those aimed at feeding the less fortunate. She was active in Tennessee Lutheran Via de Cristo and had made several mission trips to Mexico. She also had a passion for gardening. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Kronau; son, Jeffery Anderson of Crossville; and five daughters, Karen (Joe) Hurst of Ball Ground, GA, Patti (Jim) Caldwell of Canton, MI, Cindy Sherlitz of Plymouth, MI, Angela Kronau of Knoxville, and Heather Pelfrey of Rockwood. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Amanda Crum, Alexandria Crum, Luke Hurst, Bryanne (Brandon) Larkins and Jimmy Sherlitz; and great-grandsons, Bohdi Aldana and Declan Larkins. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Christ Lutheran Church, 481 Snead Dr., Fairfield Glade. Pastors Louis Groce and Joe Nilson will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends at the Library Community Room, located at 455 Lakeview Dr., Crossville, following the service.
