MITCHELL “MICKEY” GRIFFIN, age 56 of Crossville, TN passed away June 20, 2023. He was born April 30, 1967, in Crossville, TN son of Richard and Alma Hedgecoth Griffin. He was retired after many years as a maintenance supervisor at Manchester Tank in Crossville, TN and was of the Christian faith. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was president of the NWTF and a member of the Wheelin Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his sons- Bobby Griffin and his companion Lauren Mathews of Crossville, TN and his mother Vanessa Myers and her husband Tony and James Griffin of Crossville, TN and his mother Andrea Griffin, brother- Mike Griffin and his wife Shelia of Rockwood, TN, sisters- Karen Triplett and her husband Darren of Oak Ridge, TN, Melinda Griffin of Crossville, TN and Sue Scott of Cookeville, TN, grandchildren- Tucker James Griffin, Taylor Steward Griffin and Tripp Everett Griffin and their mother and former daughter-in-law, Natalie Newton and special nephews- Caison Myers and his wife Lori, Camden Myers and his fiancée Faith and Ben Reel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-Marcia Brock.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 22, 2023, at 7pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home. Grave Committal will be held Friday June 23, 2023, at 10am at Hedgecoth Cemetery.

The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hood Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
