Celebration of Life Services for Robert “Bob” Shoemaker, age 73, of Monterey, Tennessee, and formerly of Orlando, Florida, will be conducted on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Kirby will officiate. Mr. Shoemaker was born on November 6, 1949, in New Troy, Michigan, to the late Howard Dale and Bonita Irene Casselman Shoemaker. Mr. Shoemaker passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Shoemaker was a master mechanic. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant in Special Forces. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and was awarded several honorable medals including a Purple Heart. He was a member of Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by, 1 son, Michael Todd Shoemaker; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly Shoemaker, Susan and Roger Broomfield; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Toni Shoemaker, Larry and Karen Shoemaker, Jim and Anita Shoemaker; and mother of his children, Sheryl Shoemaker Owens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Jones; and sister, Susan Shoemaker.
