Opal Haley, age 91, was born on March 29, 1932, to Iver and Belva Cayocca in Susanville, California, and passed away on November 30, 2023, at Uplands Village in Pleasant Hill.

Opal graduated high school in Sacramento, California. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Pi. She retired from being a dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol in 1982.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years: Russell R. Haley; child: Terry Lyn (Harold) Jack; stepchildren: Mary Diane (David) McDonald, Sharon Ann (Ray) Hawkins, and David Russell Haley; brothers: Danny Ray Cayocca and Rena Cayocca; 14 grandchildren; several adopted and step grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Opal was preceded in death by her parents: Iver Earl and Belva LaVerne (Edson) Cayocca; Luanna Jean Jack-Baker; brother: Iver Duane Cayocca; son: David Lee Hunt; grandson: Kyle James Jack; and granddaughter: Melinda Elizabeth Jack.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
