Paul Franklin Jones, born March 8, 1946, age 78 of Sunbright, TN departed this life for his Heavenly home on October 6, 2024. He retired from Citizens Gas Utility and was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Sunbright.

He is preceded in death by his parents Freeman Litton Jones, Sr. and Callie Mae Price Jones; siblings Charlene Jones, Cleatis Ray Jones and Freeman Litton Jones, Jr.; father-in-law Reno Phillips, Sr.; brothers-in-law Robert Phillips, Jessie Phillips, Charles “Duke” Phillips, Eddie Phillips, Mayford Young, William “Dodger” Hamby and Ernest “Bud” Hamby.

Left to mourn his passing but also left with the promise that we will see him again, is his wife of 47 years, Betty Phillips Jones.

Sons: Curits Ray Jones and wife Amber, Calvin Lee Jones and wife Brenda, Scott Jones and wife Sue, Doug Jones and wife Missy.

Grandchildren: Isaac Jones, Lianna Jones, Alexander Jones, Hailey Jones, TJ Jones, and Tiffany Jones.

Sisters: Virginia Hamby, Winifred Young, Ruthe Evelyn Hamby, Velva Mae Lemons, and husband Bob, and Judy Cooper and husband Conrad.

Mother-in-law: Wilma Phillips.

Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Brenda Phillips, Jim Phillips, Elmer Phillips, Reno Phillips, Jr. and Brandy, Wilma Higgins and Joe, Randy Phillips and Cindy, Lori Phillips, and Robin Phillips. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends whom he cherished.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Bro. David Dial officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunbright Cemetery in Sunbright.
