Celebration of Life Services for Ina “Jewel” West, age 70, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Verna Seager will officiate. Mrs. West was born on Saturday, September 25, 1954, in Crossville, Tennessee, to the late Charles Jefferson and Cora Louise Ford Whittaker. Mrs. West passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at her home. Mrs. West was a factory worker and had worked with Aquatech Inc. and D’Arbo. She was owner/operator of W & W Market in the 1990s. She was a loving wife, mother, a dedicated grandmother, and special sister. She loved playing cards, especially Jamaican Rummy. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Terry West of Monterey, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Brandon Henley of Cookeville, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Jefferson and Rachele West of Algood, TN; 7 grandchildren, Cierra, Herizin, Jefferson Jr., Terry Jaymes, Noah, Alice, and Caroline; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Brenda Cravens of Monterey, TN, Becky and Phil Black of Monterey, TN; 1 brother, James “Doc” Whittaker of Cookeville, TN; and special friends, Dennis McCants, Mike Parker, Terry Tabors, Cody, and Libby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff “Jethro” Whittaker; sisters, Linda Whittaker, Robbie Hotsinpiller, and Leona Phillips; and nephew, Lee Alton Whittaker.
