COOKEVILLE POLICE ARREST MAN WITH 6 OZ OF FENTANYL

On October 29, 2024, an investigation by detectives with the Cookeville Police Department, working alongside the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and members of the Middle Tennessee High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (HIDTA), resulted in the arrest of Quantraveo Williams. Williams (34), traveled to Cookeville with the intent to distribute six (6) ounces of Fentanyl into our community.
Fortunately, Williams was intercepted before he was able to distribute the narcotics.
Williams was arrested and charged with the intent to manufacture, deliver, or sell a Schedule II controlled substance (Fentanyl), which is a Class A Felony. Williams was transported to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and is being held on a $250,000 bond. As a result of this investigation, Detectives seized approximately six (6) ounces of Fentanyl, a 2019 Dodge Challenger, and $6,000.00 cash. The approximate street value of the seized Fentanyl is $34,000.00.
All participating agencies are resolutely committed to apprehending individuals involved in the possession or distribution of illegal narcotics within our community. We remain acutely aware of the severe dangers posed by fentanyl, which can cause overdose and death, even in minuscule quantities. Together, we can strive to prevent the devastating impact of fentanyl on our community.
