MAN ARRESTED FOR MURDER OF 17-YEAR-OLD BOY

Chattanooga Police have now located the man who they say opened fire on a woman’s home which killed a 17-year-old boy, who died while protecting his mother.
A release says officers caught up with Dejuan Rowland overnight Wednesday at a home on Delbert Lane, about a mile and a half away from where Daremon Waldon was shot and killed back on December 1st.
Police say the gunshots rang out after Daremon and his mother, Rhonda, had repeatedly asked Rowland to leave the home. The release says
The mother told Dejuan to leave the residence several times. Her son also told Dejuan to leave the residence. After being told to leave several times, he eventually went outside. She locked the door when he walked outside. Dejuan attempted to enter the residence through a different door and the victims attempted to prevent him from coming back inside the residence. Dejuan then fired multiple shots through the door.
Rhonda Waldon says Daremon was protecting her, standing between her and the door when the shots were fired. He later died at the hospital.
Dejuan Rowland is now charged with first degree murder, and he’s now in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
