Kenneth “Ken” Boone, 82

Kenneth “Ken” Boone, age 82, of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.  He was born February 2, 1942 in Maryville and was a United States Navy veteran who served his country proudly. He was of the Baptist faith and attended The Grove Church prior to Covid.  Ken was a member of Mountain View Lodge 519 F & AM.  He was an avid outdoorsman, a Ford fan and enjoyed hunting, camping, NASCAR racing, and going out to eat with his wife and family.

Ken especially loved doing ALL things with his grandson Preston, who he considered a son. He worked for over forty years as a lineman for TVA before retiring. Preceded in death by his parents, David & Vina Coada Boone; daughter & son-in-law, Tina & Stephen Foster; brothers, Cledith Boone, Clifton “Sonny” Boone, David “Junior” Boone, Sam Boone; sister, Geneva Whitehead.

Family & friends will meet at 2:30 pm, Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for graveside service conducted by Dr. Phillip Martin.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kerbela Shriners, 315 Kerbela Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920.
