Carolyn Colvin (Pickett), 69

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Carolyn Colvin (Pickett) on January 26, 2025. Carolyn was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose life was centered around her family. Her love for her loved ones was her greatest passion, and everything she did was motivated by a deep and unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

Born on August 4, 1955, Carolyn devoted her life to creating a strong bond with her family. She was a pillar of strength for her loved ones, always putting them first and ensuring they felt valued, cared for, and cherished. Whether through her constant presence, encouragement, or her fierce loyalty, Carolyn’s love for her family was evident in everything she did.

Her greatest joy was in the simplest moments spent with her family — shared laughter, the comfort of togetherness, and everyday moments. She was always there for her loved ones and had a heart full of unconditional love for them. Her family was her world, and her devotion to them knew no limits.

Carolyn was proceeded in death by her father, Roy Pickett, Jr. She is survived by mother Virginia Pickett, daughter Elizabeth Davidson (Chris Taylor), grandchildren Chaise Davidson, Blake Taylor, Blaklee Taylor, and Braylee Taylor, and brother David Pickett (Stacy Boggs), each of whom will carry her memory and love with them always.

May she rest in peace, forever remembered for the love she gave to those who mattered most.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. Graveside service will be on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Russell Cemetery with Pastor Walls officiating.
