William Q. Ruppe (Jr.), age 77, of Pine Orchard went home to be with the Lord peacefully on April 25, 2025. He was a Christian and member of Daysville Baptist Church in Westel. He was dearly loved by all that knew him and especially enjoyed his work with cattle on his family farm. He was a proud member of the Pine Orchard community, a U.S. Army veteran, and a beloved and wise husband, father, friend, and “Papaw”. He was preceded in death by parents, Ruth and William (Snip) Ruppe and grandparents, Mason and Adra Hatfield and John and Vada Ruppe.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Ruppe;

Children, Lisa Baker and husband Rick, Allan Ruppe and wife Rhonda, Missy Redmon and husband Chris, John Ruppe and wife Sarah;

Grandchildren: Andy Ruppe and wife Natalie, Austin Ruppe, Marissa Helton and husband Jake, Caleb Redmon and wife Keeli, and Brandon Baker;

Great grandchildren: Raylan, Joy, Henry, Lily, Eliana, Mariah, Elayna, Darcie;

Sisters: Jacque Ruppe and Judy Garrell and husband Dwain

Sister-in-law Sharon Herron and Ken,

Brother-in-law: Charles Mitchell and Pat

Sister-in-law: Sarah Chattin and John

Special niece Tina Dreyer

and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff, nurses, and doctors at Roane Medical Center who took exceptional care of him in his final days.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm ET with Bro. Chris Redman and Bro. Jake Helton officiating. Graveside and interment service will follow in the Pine Orchard Cemetery in Oakdale, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. William Q. Ruppe Jr
