Funeral Services for Mike “JoJo” Medley, age 65, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Brian McElwain will officiate with interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Medley was born on Saturday, September 12, 1959, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Larry Gill Medley Sr. and Barbara Scroggins Medley. Mr. Medley passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Medley was a senior level machinist working with Oak Ridge National Laboratory for over 43 years. He was a Monterey High School graduate class of 1978 where he played basketball as a starter Class A division helping to take his team to the state tournament. He coached his son and his teams beginning with T-ball all the way to Babe Ruth. He loved all sports, coaching youth, football, golf and his grandchildren. He was a member of Monterey First Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Tyler Medley and fiancée, Alaina Holland of Tullahoma, TN; daughter, Isabella Turner of Kingston, TN; grandchildren, Karleigh Medley, Allyson Medley, Aaliyah Medley, Chase Holland, Blaine Turner, Carson Turner, and Audrey Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Tara Medley of Monterey, TN; mother of his children, Carolyn Turner of Kingston, TN; father/mother-in-law, Charles and Bertha Cagley of Harriman, TN; brothers-in-law, Tony Cagley and Mike Cagley; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Medley, Jonathan Medley, Courtney Medley, Leara Henry, and Alyssa Henry; uncle and aunt, Tony and Lauren Medley of Knoxville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Gill Medley Jr. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
