He graduated as Mr. MHS from Monterey High School and met his wife of 48 years, Connie, at Lambuth College, where he received a bachelor’s degree and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Greg worked with ABF Freight, where he retired in Fort Smith after 37 years. Greg’s passions included his family, neighbors, and friends. He enjoyed playing golf and guitar, riding his motorcycle, and singing karaoke. Neighborhood kids came to ask Greg to throw the ball or see what he was working on in his garage, long after his kids were grown. He was a magnet for love, friendships, and good times. He never met a stranger and felt that every single person mattered, regardless of background. A private internment of cremains will be held at the Sand Springs Cemetery for family. There will also be a celebration/party in the banquet room upstairs at The French Cookie in downtown Cookeville, TN, on his 70th birthday, May 3, 2025, from 5-8pm. In memory of Greg, we will be sharing stories and music. Everyone is welcome to drop by; guitars and good vibes are encouraged!
