Goff – Funeral Services for Mary Ann Chambers Officer, age 102, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Allen will officiate with interment to follow in the Walker Cemetery. Mrs. Officer was born on Tuesday, October 17, 1922, in the Rock Springs Community, to the late Perry Andrew and Vera Titsworth Copeland. Mrs. Officer passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Officer was a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, riding motorcycles, gardening, sewing, and quilting. She was a close friend and caregiver to Joyce Nugent. She was a member of the Rock Springs Church. She is survived by, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Bart and Debbie Byars of Monterey, TN, Russell and Judy Surrett of Loudon, TN; 4 grandchildren, Randy (Katrina) Surrett, Jeremy (Leanna) Surrett, Dustin (Heather) Shultz, and Courtney Byars; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a host of other family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Scott Surrett, Don Chambers, and Walt Officer; siblings, Mazelle Byars, Christine Peck, and Buddy Copeland.
