Goff – Graveside Funeral Services for Fredia Thompson, age 75, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Phillips Cemetery in the Anderson Community.

Rev. Darrell Harvill and Rev. Michael Swallows will officiate.

Mrs. Thompson was born on Friday, March 3, 1950, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Odell and Geneva Mae Key Norrod.

Mrs. Thompson passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Thompson previously worked with Ely Walker, Perdue, and was a school nutritionist working with Uffelman Elementary and Burks Middle School. She was a member of Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church and was a deacon’s wife. She loved counted cross stitch and needlepoint, and God blessed her with a giving heart to share many pieces that she made. She along with her husband enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with God and family.

She is survived by,
her husband of almost 60 years who she married on July 24, 1965, Miller Thompson

son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Lisa Thompson of Cookeville, TN

grandson, Bentley Thompson

sisters and brothers-in-law, Della and Charles Whittaker of Monterey, TN
Tammy and Tim Looper of the Sunk Cane Community

brother and sister-in-law, Carlos and Regina Norrod of Mt. Juliet, TN

brother-in-law, Ronnie Clark of Monterey, TN

And a host of other family members

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pamela Norrod and Linda Clark.

The family will receive friends at the Phillips Cemetery in the Anderson Community for Graveside Funeral Services.
