Mundy – Roger E. Lewis, age  67 , passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2025.

Roger was a devoted family man whose world revolved around the people he loved. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by family—gathered around a table talking, laughing, or working on a project. He didn’t need fancy things or big crowds; he just needed his people.

He loved deeply and lived simply. He showed up. He listened. He helped. And he quietly made sure things were taken care of so others didn’t have to worry. That was just who he was. To be loved by Roger was to feel it every day in the way he lived.

He is survived by a large and loving family who adored him, and oh, how deeply he was loved in return.

Roger was laid to rest during a quiet graveside service surrounded by close family at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, which is used for the care and maintenance of the grounds Roger now rests on—a place that meant a great deal to him and his family.
