Carrie Elizabeth Romer, 41

Jennings – Carrie Elizabeth Romer, age 41 of Joelton, located northwest of Metropolitan Nashville, formerly of Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Tristar Skyline Medical Center.

Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the St. Christopher Catholic Church in Jamestown. Burial will follow in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Jamestown.

Carrie attended Allardt Elementary, and played on the Allardt Girls Basketball team. She was a 2001 graduate of York Institute, Top 10 in the class and 2001 Ms. YAI. While at York, she was very active in the Christian Club, Noteworthy, and was the President of the Interact Club her senior year. She excelled in Track and Field, competing in Shot Put, Discus, some running events, and was on the Staff of the Boys Basketball team. Carrie became a Certified Red Cross Life Guard, Certified CPR teacher and was the Head Life Guard/President of the Masters Swim Club at Middle Tennessee State University. She earned both her Bachelor of Science (2007) and her Master of Science Degree in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2009. Her Masters thesis addressed when certain chemicals are spliced to encode potential variants in normal and tumor tissues. This research had the potential to determine possible ways to battle cancer. Carrie worked as a Research Biologist at Vanderbilt Medical Center for several years on many very important scientific projects designed in different ways to lead to treat health issues. She loved all animals and especially her cats Tabby, Min, Bucks, Rowdy Cat and most recently Sammie and hamster Kirby

Niece, Amelia Claire Romer
Arika Leigh, Rebecca’s daughter
Aunt, April F. Hatfield
Uncle, Patrick B Craven

Friend and Companion, Jerimie Speck
She also leaves behind many friends in Fentress County and in and around Nashville and other places.

She is preceded in death by her:
