Robbie D. Linder, 91
Robbie D. Linder, 91, of Muncie, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at her home. She was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on January 8, 1934, to David and Bertha (Crocket) Hancock. On February 9, 1957, Robbie married Hollis R. Linder, and he preceded her in passing on March 15, 2005.
Robbie retired, after 40 years of housekeeping, at the age of 86. She loved to crochet, cook, and do crossword puzzles. Robbie was an avid sports fan and loved watching Indiana and Purdue basketball games, especially if they were competing against one another. She loved to attend all of the grandkids’ high school games. Robbie also enjoyed tending to her flowers and jar canning, when she could. Above all, Robbie loved her family and always made sure that they were happy and felt her love.
Robbie is survived by her daughters, Debra Smith, Betty (David) Skinner, and Teresa (Marty) Montgomery; son, Robert (Sherri) Linder; grandchildren, Holly (Eric) McNabb, Billie (Jamian) Wolfe, Christopher (Kelsey) Smith, Jeffery Taylor Jr., Lindsey Taylor, Sarah (Rodney ) Parker, Chad Skinner, Brandi (Christen) Pitman, Megan (Jordan) Gluff, Brandon (Makayla Benzenbower) Linder, Noah Linder, Gage Linder; 23 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; brother, E.J. (Linda) Hancock; as well as several nieces, nephews, and special neighbors.
She was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 49 years, Hollis R. Linder; son, William Linder; great-grandchild, infant Christopher Smith; brothers, Rathe Woodrow Hancock, Menzo Hancock, David “Junior” Hancock, and Fred Hancock; and sisters, Kathleen Hammond, Martha Jane Sweet, and one infant sister.
A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Liberty Baptist Church, 9601 S Cowan Rd, Muncie, IN 47302, with Pastor Andy Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 5 pm until 7 pm at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W.
