RHODA RUTH WIMBERLEY age 77 of Cookeville, TN formerly of Crossville, passed away July 10, 2025. She was born July 11, 1947, in Crossville, TN, the daughter of James Sewell and Trophy Spurlin Bristow. She graduated from Cumberland County High School in 1965 and later retired after 27 years from Ceva Logistics in Lebanon, TN. She attended Woodcliff Baptist Church in Monterey, TN. Rhoda had a tremendous love for life and nature, especially her flowers and birds. Rhoda was also a gifted painter. She was affectionally known for her love of people and was considered a mother figure to many. She was always happy and brought happiness out in others. She was beautiful inside and out. She will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her husband- John Wimberley of Cookeville, TN, sons- Bruce Wimberley and his wife Debbie of Murfreesboro, TN and Troy Wimberley of Florida, mother- Trophy Bristow of Crossville, TN, brother- Cecil Bristow and his wife Rebecca of Crossville, TN, sister- Syble Buckner and her husband Richard of Monterey, TN, grandchildren- Lexie Wimberley, Macy Wimberley and Tesla Wimberley and a host of special nieces and nephews. She also leaves her beloved dog, Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Sewell Bristow, grandson- LT Wimberley and precious dog, Cheyenne.

Funeral services will be held, Friday July 18, 2025, at 1pm at Hood funeral home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11am-1pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be in Harris Cemetery.
