Jim Galloway age 77 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

He was born on May 15, 1948 to the late James M. “Jimmie” and Patricia “Pat” Massey Galloway and was a lifetime resident of the area. Jim was a graduate of Spring City High School and West Point Academy. After graduation, he joined and served in the United States Army where he flew helicopters during his time of service. After his service, Jim came back to Spring City where he founded Ace Hardware Store until his retirement in 2023. Jim enjoyed making jewelry and candles. He was a member of Spring City Methodist Church.

Jim is also preceded in death by his brother Tim Galloway.

Survivors include his wife Eddie Ruth Cawood Galloway of Spring City, Tennessee; his son Timothy Lee Galloway of Vancouver, Washington; his daughter Angela Bennett of Ooltewah, Tennessee; and his three grandchildren Makaila, Mason, and Ava Newberry.

A celebration of life with military honors will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Methodist Family Life Center in Spring City.
