Gerald Farrell Largen age 89 of Roane County, Tennessee passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Roane Medical Center. Gerald worked as an Attorney for 70 years. He was the publisher of The Standard Newspaper and published a newspaper article called “A View from Lick Skillet” in the Roane County News. Gerald was a strong member of the Democratic Party and served Roane County as the Roane County Executive in the 1980s. He loved traveling and gardening. Preceded in death by his parents Roy and Martha McGlothlin Largen and many cousins.

Survivors include: many cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1:30 pm Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman, the funeral will follow at 1:30pm. Burial at Lawnville Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Largen Family.
