Dennis “Gene” Golliher age 74 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton.

He was born on August 27, 1951 to the late Herman William and Ruth Young Golliher and was a lifetime resident of the area. Gene attended school in Rockwood. He worked for 14 years with the Town of Spring City and then worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation for 19 years until his retirement. Gene loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, and Tennessee Football. He was of the Baptist faith.

Gene is also preceded in death by his two sisters in Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Diana Hackler Golliher of Spring City, Tennessee; his children Dennis (Lizzie) Golliher Jr., J.W. (Ariel) Golliher, and Kevin Hackler all of Spring City, Tennessee, and James (Stephanie) Hackler of Evensville, Tennessee; his two grandchildren Dennis Creed Golliher and LaluLizzie Golliher; and his special nieces and nephews Kenneth Hackler, Angelica Luther, Timothy Luther Jr., and Craig Luther.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
