Pastor Randy Boggess age 61 of Etowah, Tennessee died on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on August 13, 1964 and has lived in the area since 1996 after moving from Ohio. Randy attended Kenmore High School in Kenmore, Ohio. He held various jobs until he was called into the ministry. Randy was first associate pastor, then begin pastoring at Covenant Baptist Church in Etowah. He was also the President of the Nursing Society when he attended Akron University in Akron, Ohio.  Randy enjoyed golfing and playing chess. He also loved to fish and garden, especially in the greenhouse.

Randy is preceded in death by his father Walter Lee Boggess.

Survivors include his wife Pam Schuckert Boggess of Etowah, Tennessee; his mother Ruby Meadows Boggess of Ooltewah, Tennessee; his children Josh Boggess of Athens, Tennessee, Daniel Boggess and Adam Boggess both of Etowah, Tennessee, and Ben (Kaylah) Boggess of Madisonville, Tennessee; his sister Joyce Boggess of Ooltewah, Tennessee; and his three grandchildren Payton Boggess, Brantley Boggess, and Bristol Boggess.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. at Covenant Baptist Church, 241 County Road 608, Athens, TN 37303 with Rev. Scott Chastain officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the church. He will be buried on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in Love Cemetery in Etowah, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Covenant Baptist Church, P.O. Box 631, Etowah, TN 37231 in his memory.
