BRENDA KAY GOSS age 69 of Crab Orchard, TN passed away September 5, 2025. She was born September 1, 1956 in Crossville, TN the daughter of Ira and Mary Kate DeRossett Sherrill. She worked side by side with her father, Ira at Ira Sherrill Stone Company and was a member of Haley’s Grove Baptist Church. She was a gifted gardener who was known for the beautiful flowers she grew. People were in awe of her talent and would often seek advice on her techniques for such bountiful and beautiful flower gardens. She also loved her family with such greatness and her presence will be a tremendous loss in their hearts and lives.

She is survived by her sons- Shane Goss of Crossville, TN, Wade Goss (Kelly) of Ootelwah, TN and Tyler Goss (Jennifer) of Crab Orchard, TN, daughter- Bobbi Jo Goss (Chris) of North Carolina, brothers- Tim Sherrill, Albert Sherrill, Marvin Sherrill, Randall Sherrill (Glenda) and Jeff Sherrill (Glenda) all of Crab Orchard, TN and Danny Sherrill (Linda) of Westel, TN, sister- Ida Mae Barnes (Jr.) of Crab Orchard, TN, grandchildren- Shelby Bullock (Austin), Levi Bullock, Kaleb Goss (Amanda), Jake Goss, Ethan Goss, Maggy Goss, Charley Goss, Lillie Mullins, Annabelle Mullins, Savanah Mullins, Callie Miracle, Dominick Goss and Catalaya Goss and great grandchildren- Layla, Josie, Bridger, Finn and Blaire.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband- Lonnie Goss, nephew- Jasper Sherrill and sister-in-law- Mary Sherrill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 10, 2025 at 2pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12pm-2pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will follow in the Sherrill Family Cemetery.
