Norris, TN – City of Norris residents should now have received their 2025 property tax statements. Anyone who has not yet received their statement is asked to contact the City Office at (865) 494-7645 or visit the city’s website at www.cityofnorris.com to access property tax information.

In accordance with state law, tax notices are mailed to the property owner of record as of January 1, 2025. Because of this, some property owners—such as those who purchased property later in the year—may not receive a mailed statement. City officials remind residents that failure to receive a notice does not relieve property owners of their responsibility to pay on time.

Property taxes must be paid by September 30, 2025 to avoid penalties. Beginning October 1, 2025, unpaid accounts will accrue interest at a rate of 2% per month.

Payments may be made online at the city’s website, in person at the City Office, through the overnight drop box at the Community Building (20 Chestnut Drive, Norris), or by mail to P.O. Box 1090, Norris, TN 37828.
