Juan Maurice “Tiger” Ervin, 55

Juan Maurice “Tiger” Ervin, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at UT Medical Center, Knoxville. He attended First United Church of Christ. Juan was full of laughter, life, and love. He always had a joke or a story to tell. He was the ultimate protector of all his family. You never left him without a smile on your face and laughter in your soul. Juan was the biggest fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to fish anytime of the year.
Juans pride and joy were his three girls. They are what truly completed his heart. His two sisters Renay and Bonita were his world. He truly loved them unconditionally. He would always let you know… “We are all we got!” The other part of his heart belonged to his wife. He loved her with all his heart and showed that every day. He called her his “Rib”.
Juan is preceded in death by his father: Newman Franklin Ervin Jr., mother: Carolyn Sue Moore, grandparents: Ivan and Viola Moore, and Newman F. and Ella Mae Oggs Ervin.
He leaves his legacy to be cherished and remembered to his loving and devoted wife of 14 years: Traci Lyn Ervin. His daughters: Raven Alieka “Puss” Ervin, Averi C Anne “Woot” Ervin, his son: James Issac “Son” McGhee. His granddaughter Cy Niyah Sue “Poot” Ervin. Sisters: Renay Ervin, and Bonita Lockett, stepbrothers: Reginald, Curtis, and Rodney Jackson. Stepmother: Earnestine Ervin, Mother-in-law and father-in-law: Kathy and Keith Johnson, Mother-in-law: Sherry Murr, 5 sisters-in-law: 1 brother-in-law, 13 nieces and nephews, 1 great- nephew, and 2 great-nieces. Several aunts and uncles. Very special friend: Charles “Sonny” Bradley. Ex wife and friend: Torri Ervin. Any time you think of him always remember “We are still dem boys” and “We are all we got”.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 5:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev.
