Dorylee Maude Sloat, born June 13, 1934, in Lansing, MI, took her final bow on November 26, 2025. A proud Michigan native, Dorylee’s journey brought her to Crossville, Tennessee, where she spent her last 6 months in the loving care of the local Hospice. In life, she was a dedicated clerk in the retail industry, she was also a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dorylee’s legacy continues through her children and stepchildren who survive her: James Jolly, William Jolly, Bill Jolly, and Sandy Lahmann and her husband, Mike Lahmann. Her memory will also live on in the hearts of her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorylee was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Pearl Richter, and her loving husband, Fred Sloat. Her three sisters will hold their sisterly bond with Dorylee close to their hearts. Dorylee was a woman of strength, resilience, and love whose life story was nothing short of extraordinary. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those she touched.
