Jeffrey Dean “Jeff” Jones, age 56, of Spring City, Tennessee, left us far too soon, died Monday December 1, 2025 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Billy L. and Mary Jones. Jeff is survived by his siblings, Tim (Susan) Jones of Evensville, TN, and Debbie (Buddy) Jackson of Spring City TN, along with extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Jeff’s parents instilled in him a deep passion—for the love of Jesus and for people. He was filled with compassion, offering hope, reassurance, and understanding to those struggling with alcoholism and addiction, always reminding them that they mattered.

Family was everything to Jeff. His bond with his nephew Ethan Kelly was unmatched—a relationship built on trust, love, and laughter. He cherished all of his nieces and nephews, often calling them his grandchildren, and took great joy in being a steady, caring presence in their lives.

Jeff also shared countless adventures with his cousins—memories that will last a lifetime. From cow tipping, to grabbing the electric fence and refusing to let go, to shooting BB’s through Uncle Jimmy’s window, these moments shaped his playful spirit. Among his cousins, Karen Taylor held a special place in his heart; he loved her so dearly that he often called her his sister.

A skilled journeyman machinist, Jeff earned numerous certifications and followed in the footsteps of his beloved Uncle Jimmy, who taught him many of the skills he mastered. Some of his fondest childhood memories were hunting and fishing with his uncle—moments that shaped both the man he became and the career he chose.

Jeff will be remembered for his quiet strength, his compassion, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Vaughn Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm. The family will receive friends at Vaughn Funeral Home from 5pm until 6pm
