Jessica “Morgan” James, 43
On January 10th, 2026, Heaven was filled with reunions and celebration as our dear Jessica “Morgan” Bryant James, Age 43 surrounded by her family passed peacefully and arrived in Heaven, adorned with her perfect, glorified body and into the arms of her Savior after her brave battle with cancer.
Born October 28th, 1982, to Stephen Allen Bryant and Robin Ann Fritts Bryant in Harriman, Tn.
While the pain of losing her is deep, we as a family find comfort in knowing she is now fully healed, free from pain and now resting in the presence of her Savior, whom she loved so much.
Morgan fought with so much grace, never complained, finished with dignity, and never let go of her faith. No matter how hard things were, she always trusted God completely and continued to trust in his faithfulness and his goodness. She truly walked by faith and not by sight.
Morgan’s life was a living testimony of God’s love and goodness as it was reflected in her angelic voice while singing as a member of the Big Emory Church Praise Team and leading others into the presence of God during worship. She truly loved to sing and now we have no doubt she is singing in Heaven’s Choir and at the feet of her Savior.
Morgan was an avid sports fan, playing basketball and softball all through her childhood and through high school at Harriman High. She loved everything about Tennessee Vols and enjoyed spending time with her husband at Tennessee Vols football games.
Morgan was also passionate about her work as a nurse at Rockwood Medical Associates. She served her patients with compassion, patience, and a true servant’s heart while bringing comfort, care, and confidence to so many people. Morgan truly loved what she done and never complained about going to work.
Morgan loved life; she always had a positive attitude, always laughing, acting silly, and always smiling.
Morgan loved her family, and this reflected the way she loved the Lord, and that was deeply. Her husband, Chris, her son Landon, and her daughter Kylie were her greatest joy and the center of her world. She poured herself into loving all her family and friends. Praying for them, encouraging them, and nurturing them in so many ways.

Morgan, you will always be loved beyond words…
So also, you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. John 16:22
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
