Funeral Services for Roy Jernigan, age 74, of Crossville, Tennessee, will be conducted on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Floyd and Pastor Rick D. Lyles will officiate with interment to follow in the Whittaker Cemetery. Mr. Jernigan was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1951, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Paul D. and Anna Lee McCloud Jernigan. Mr. Jernigan passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Cumberland Medical Center. Mr. Jernigan was a construction worker. He loved flea markets, both buying and selling. He was a generous man with a giving heart and would give the shirt off his back. He loved going places and would wake up in the morning asking his wife “where are we going today?” He was a member of Pine Grove Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Freida Carr Jernigan; sons, Roy Jernigan, Paul (Tracy) Jernigan, and Roy Allen Chapman; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Marie Wherry; brothers, Burl Jernigan, Beau Robertson, and Wayne Robertson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Alan Jernigan and Roy James Jernigan; and several siblings. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.
