Karen Elaine Beene, age 60 of Graysville, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. She was born in Chattanooga on June 28, 1965, the daughter of the late Marvin “Bo” Sims and Sherron (Knox) Sims. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin Sims, Jr., Curtis Sims, and Michael “Andy” Sims.

Karen was a lifelong resident of Graysville and a proud graduate of RCHS, class of 1983. She dedicated 15 years of service to the City of Graysville, working in the library and as a secretary. In her free time, she found joy in gardening with flowers and fishing for catfish.

She is survived by her son, Zach Beene; her daughters, Chancey (Jay) Farris and Haley Beene; and her grandson, Jace Keller, all of Graysville; and her sister, Fonda Ballinger of Chattanooga. A special thank you for being a lifelong friend to Carmen Price.

Funeral services for Karen will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her Dad at Pleasant View Cemetery.
