Kenneth “Kenny” Milland Lawson, age 65 of Pikeville, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at his home. Kenny was of the Church of God faith and worked for Vaughn Chevrolet as a Lot Attendant in the past. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also loved watching Tennessee football as he was a big Tennessee Vols fan. Kenny enjoyed playing poker, betting on basketball games, and most of all cruising Pikeville.

Preceding Kenny in death were his mother: Alma Geneva Brock Lawson; son: Kenneth Lawson; brothers: William “Judd” Lawson and Landon Lawson; and sisters: Ola Sharp and Wilma Robinson.

Kenny will be dearly missed by his daughter: Lacie (Randall) Worthington; sons: James Smith and Cody Smith; grandchildren: Aubrey Cantrell, R J Worthington, Arya Smith, Oliver Smith, Lillith Smith, Nyssa Smith, Talia Smith, and Cerilla Smith; sister: Elizabeth Ann “Lizzy” Herd; brother: Winton Lee (Reta) Lawson; a host of special nieces, nephews, and cousins; a very special friend: Robin London; and a community of friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. central Sunday, March 22, 2026, in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Pikeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 10 a.m. until service time on Sunday.
