Jerry Richard Sweet, age 59 of Jamestown, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Karen (Conatser) Sweet; brother: Jimmy Sweet (Angie); mother-in-law: Marteena Conatser; sisters-in-law: Pam Delk (David) and Paula Stockton (Ronnie); nieces and nephews; Tambra Sweet Hayes (Trevor), Destiny Sweet Pugh (Dakota), Travis Stockton and Kayla Kassow, Buddie Ray Stockton (Cali), Mindy Mechelle Stockton and Jimmy Young, Samantha Bucholz (Nicholai), Courtney Delk Loveday (Shawn), and Whitney Rae Delk; special aunt and uncle: E.J. & Linda Hancock; godchildren: Samuel and Sicilla Keeley; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends

He was preceded in death by his father: Jimmy Richard Sweet; mother: Martha Jane (Hancock) Sweet; father-in-law: Buddie Conatser; and great-nephew: Oakley Richard Pugh

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Hope Foundation, Best Friends Sanctuary or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Donations can be left at Jennings Funeral Home.
