Barbara Theresa West, age 68 of Stearns, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30th, 2026. She was born on July 12th, 1957, in Kansas City, MO. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and her family was the most important thing in this world to her, especially her grandbabies. She also enjoyed going to church with her church family at the Emmanuel Christian Fellowship, and her faith in Jesus Christ was evident to all who knew her. She enjoyed the simple things in life and was an avid coffee fanatic, always taking time to enjoy the perfect cup while being with her family. She is preceded in death by parents: Thurman and Mable Jones; sister: Beverly Hatfield. She is survived by:

Daughter: Ashley Phillips (Kenneth Phillips III) and their children: Alieah West and Jasper Phillips

Daughter: Amber West (Jacob Troxell) and their children: Zoey and Piper Troxell

Son: James West

Daughter: Teresa Sexton and her children: Lauren Reagan, Kaitlyn Crabtree, Madison Sexton

Son: Jason Bryant (Becky Bryant)

Brother: Pat Kaaz

and best friend: Phyllis Williams

along with a host of other family members and friends.

A memorial Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, at 12:00 pm at the Emmanuel Christian Fellowship in Whitley City, KY. Cremation arrangements have been made and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evans Mortuary to help with service costs. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Barbara Theresa West.
