David Pennington, age 83, of Kingston, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at his home with his dear wife of 61 years by his side.  He was born October 3, 1942 in Elizabethton, Tennessee and was a graduate of South Harriman High School.  After high school David joined the United States Air Force where he served his country proudly as a Security Air Police Officer, receiving several decorations, medals, badges, commendations and citations.  While serving his county in Germany he met the love of his life and they were later married in Freiburg, Germany.

David was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Harriman.

He was an avid golfer and a Donald Trump supporter.

He had a special love for his grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his son, Robert Pennington; daughter, Patrizia Hull; parents, James & Margaret Arp Pennington; brothers, Steve & James Pennington; sister, Barbara Bridges.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Angelika Monika Bonnet Pennington of Kingston; son, Jerry Pennington of Kingston and Kris Pennington & wife, Daphne of Harriman. Grandchildren, Monique Hester, Kayla Pennington, Paul Hester III & wife, Ashley, Alivia Pennington; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Damien, Blake, Layla, Addison, Paislee, Kinsley, and Marshaun Jr.; brothers, Dennis Pennington of Harriman, and Butch Pennington & wife, Cindy of Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Charolotte & Willi Tritschler, and Jacqueline Loos, both of Germany; a host of extended family and friends.
