Mary Jane DeBord, 97
Janie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingston. She found great joy in playing the piano and sharing her love of gospel music. She loved to travel. Janie was always ready to go on buses, airplanes or in the car to places in the US or abroad. Janie also took pride in her flowers, tending to them with care and appreciation. Her faith was central to her life, and she cherished her daily devotionals, time in prayer, and reading her Bible.
Preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. DeBord; son, Edward DeBord; parents, John Morgan and Eva Pearl (Daugherty) Long; sister, Betty Ruth (Long) Parker.
Survived by her daughter, Phyllis Price (Steven); grandchildren, Krista Patterson, Allen Price, Matthew Price, Meagan Vessels, Nathaniel DeBord and Nick DeBord; many beloved great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston, Tennessee. Funeral Service to follow at 4:00 PM on Sunday with Pastor Dale Darley officiating. Burial will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2026 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is serving the DeBord Family.
