Denis was born on August 1, 1943, and passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 82. He died at home surrounded by his family.

He served his country with dignity and honor. He was a proud U.S. Marine who served in Vietnam. Born and raised in Saint Paul, MN, he and his wife recently relocated to Crossville, TN. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Denis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley (Schmitz); daughter, Michele Conda (Travis), and sons, Matthew, Jacob, Benjamin, and Nicholas (Candice); seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother and sister, Donald and Teresa Neuman, and was preceded in death by his parents, Denis and Bertha Louise (Steeby), brothers, Gregory and Raymond, and sister, Deanna (Cox).

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 14, at 11:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Crossville. Inurnment in St. Joseph’s Garden columbarium at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Crossville will be held on Friday, May 15, at 11:00 AM.
