Anna Pearl Cox, 83

Anna Pearl Cox, 83, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on May 12, 2026, surrounded by
family and loved ones.
She was born in Crossville, TN, on January 18, 1943, to Hershal and Carrie Norrod.
Anna was a businesswoman who proudly owned and operated the Tansi Market for 24 years and
Cox’s Pumpkin Patch for 6 years. Anna was known for her loving heart, strong work ethic, and
deep devotion to her family. She was an exceptional cook and baker whose meals brought loved
ones together and created lasting memories around the table. Anna enjoyed traveling and trying
her luck at gambling, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. She had a passion for
farming and gardening and took pride in preserving the fruits of her labor through canning. In
her quieter moments, she enjoyed crocheting and fishing, hobbies that reflected her patience and
creativity. Anna loved being an active member of Pomona Methodist Church and of the 127
Senior Citizen Center. Above all, Anna dearly loved her children and grandchildren and
faithfully supported them in every avenue they pursued, always cheering them on with pride and
unconditional love.
Anna is survived by her children, Harlan Cox (Ricci), Tracie Buckner,  Frank Parker
(Nelsa), and her grandchildren, Harlan Cox (Jessica), Lyle Cox (Sydney), Hayden Cox (Stacie),
Amanda Woodson (Gregory), Sarah Baird (Jeremiah), Lilly Campbell, and Libby Campbell and
10 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Junior Norrod (Dean) and Glenna Houston and sister-
in-laws Martha Norrod, Monteen DeVore, and Mary Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cox; her sister, Velma Kerley; her brother,
Ronnie Norrod; and her parents, Hershal and Carrie Norrod.

A visitation will be held on May 15 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Pomona Methodist Church, with the
funeral to follow at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery following the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pomona Methodist Church or the 127 Senior
Citizen Center.
Service led by Pastor Don Haston. Pallbearers: Harlan Cox, Lyle Cox, Hayden Cox, Riley Cox,
Gregory Woodson, and Jeremiah Baird.
The family would like to thank all caregivers, hospital staff, friends, and family for their
kindness, grace, and support.
