Hollis Dennis “Big D” Frazier, 94
Hollis Dennis “Big D” Frazier, age 94 of Pikeville, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at home with his loving family by his side. Dennis was a lifetime member of Mt. Crest Methodist Church and was the founder of Mt. Crest Volunteer Fire Department where he served forty-five years as Chief. Big D was a hard worker, a farmer and construction worker, and also a welder. He also enjoyed fishing.
Preceding Dennis in death was his wife, Lucille Gill Frazier; parents, Hollis and Viola Ferguson Frazier; and brother, Edd Frazier.
Dennis will be dearly missed by his sons, Gregory D. Frazier and Gary R. (Glenda) Frazier; special daughter, Crystal Ferguson; grandchildren; Dennis R. “DD” (Darlene) Frazier, Jeffrey Adam Frazier, Jessica (Corey) Cole, Derrick (Sarah) Jackson, and Kendall (Justin) Hodges; great-grandchildren, Tammara Wilson, Charlie Cole, Jaxson Frazier, Jeremiah Frazier, Corbin Cole, Rose Frazier, Ellie Jackson, Aaron Jackson, and Willa Jackson; great-great-grandchildren, Sophia Wilson and Emily Givens; brothers, Horace E. “Dude” (Geraldine) Frazier, Douglas Paul “A.K.A. Ridge Cat” (Annette) Frazier, Wade Blaylock ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and a host of adopted family.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm CDT Monday, May 25, 2026 in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Bartley and Bro. Bruce Bayless officiating. Burial will be in the Hollis and Viola Frazier Memorial Garden. Local firefighters will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 4:00pm-8:00pm Saturday, May 23, 2026 and 12:00pm-8:00pm Sunday, May 24, 2026 and 10:00am until service time Monday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
