Royce Warren “Bud” Slaven II, 45

Royce Warren “Bud” Slaven II, went home to be with our Lord Thursday, June 4th, 2026. He was born April 29th, 1981 at the University of Tennessee Hospital, Knoxville. He was the son of Deedra Walker, of Harriman, and Royce (Anita) Slaven of Lebanon. Bud was a proud veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, deploying in the service to our country as a military policeman, Sergeant, after the events of 9/11/2001 with the Tennessee Army National Guard. He was a graduate of Oliver Springs High School, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and later received his MBA at Lincoln Memorial University. Bud continued to serve his country in several capacities as a contractor for the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge. He was an avid outdoorsman, golfer, and fisherman. Bud never knew a stranger and made everyone he met feel like they had known him for a long time. His smile and charm could light up any room he walked into. He is survived by loving wife Casey, children Sadie Isabelle, Royce Warren “Tripp,” Charlotte “Charley” and Essie. Beloved brother to Andrea (Chris) Lawson of Lenoir City and half-brother John (Cassidy) Slaven of Nashville. Deeply loved by nieces Maddie, Ruth and Hallie. His dear uncles, aunts and cousins will miss him terribly. Bud also had many, many friends and acquaintances throughout the surrounding counties of Roane who will cherish him always.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2026 at The Grove Church. Funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM Sunday. A private burial will be held. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is serving the Slaven Family.
