Densel Breen “Denny” Woodsmall, Sr., age 84, of Pikeville, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026. Denny was a 1958 high school graduate, earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1962 and his Master’s degree in manufacturing in 1966 at the University of Missouri. He was a former plant manager for many years at Eclipse and Dura Manufacturing. Denny loved his family, and was an avid golf player. He had a passion, patience, and dedication to a game that is as mental as it is physical. Denny found joy in the quiet mornings, green fairways, fresh air, and scenic views found on the course. He had a lifelong drive for personal challenge.

Denny was preceded in death by his first wife of ten years, Sandra Woodsmall, second wife of ten years, Marie Woodsmall, and third wife of twenty years, Sharon Woodsmall; parents, Robert Elzie and Dorothy Verna Breen Woodsmall; brother, Bob Woodsmall; and step daughter, Cheryl Brown.

Denny is survived by his son, Butch Woodsmall; two stepsons, Mike Lawrence and Bobby Angel; grandchildren, Isabella Belaunzaran, Ronny and Kyle Brown, Beckham, Boden, and Carson Lawrence, Garrett and Aylee Angel; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.

A memorial visitation for Denny will be from 1:00pm-4:00pm CDT Friday, August 7, 2026 in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel.
