ROCKWOOD TO MARK 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 WITH DOWNTOWN MEMORIAL SERVICE
The City of Rockwood will host a remembrance ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at Homecoming Park in Downtown Rockwood to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Spearheaded by City Councilwoman April Foust Wilson alongside Mayor Jason Jolly and fellow council members, the commemoration brings together local leaders, residents, and emergency services. Participants will include the Rockwood Police Department, Rockwood Fire Department, Rockwood Parks and Recreation, the Civitan Club, and the Rockwood Public Library.
The gathering will feature community reflections, a group singing of the national anthem, and a special patriotic song to conclude the program. City officials invite all community members to attend and honor the lives lost on that historic day.
