David Allen Smith passed on September 9, 2026, at the age of 47 at Island Home Health and Rehab.

David was born on September 10, 1978 to Jerry and Diane Smith. He was a loving father and a wonderful husband who always put his family first. He loved playing video games in his spare time, and his favorite saying was “OH YEAH!”

He was a member of the Knoxville First Seven Day Adventist Church, where he helped serve as a deacon when called upon. He worked at Kroger for 26 years, where he was loved by many.

Preceded in death by his father, Jerry Smith; father-in-law, Don Stohrer; and mother-in-law, Kathy Stohrer.

David is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Smith; sons, Dylan and Daniel Smith; mother, Diane Smith; brother, Matt (Heather) Smith; sister, Elizabeth (Chris) Bryant; nieces, Caitlyn, Lilli and Bella; nephews, Elijah, William, and Noah; and great-nephew, Dawson.

Family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Knoxville First Seven Day Adventist, 3611 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM.
