Barbara Orban, 77

Barbara Orban left to be with her husband September 10, 2026.

She was born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on February 13, 1949, to Lloyd and Rose Heller Sr. She grew up in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and graduated high school in 1967 and then pursued a nursing degree from Reading Nursing School. She then married John Orban Jr in 1970 after he came home from Vietnam. They moved to San Diego, California to start a life. She worked as a nurse for 4 years until she had children then became a stay-at-home mother.

Barbara traveled the world with her husband starting in California, living in Maryland, Georgia, Germany, Virginia, New Jersey, North Carolina and landing in Crossville, Tennessee. She had friends and family all over the country.

While living in Tennessee, she enjoyed the outdoors and watching the wildlife on their property, also with doing yard work and her flowers. She enjoyed doing wood working alongside with her husband and her specialty was the scroll saw. She also enjoyed doing craft shows and talking with her customers. She had a little companion named Toby that followed her wherever she went. She also had a special bond with her grandson, Johnathan, that lived with her.

Barbara is survived by her children, Stacy Hummer (Billy) and Chris Orban (Shannon); 3 grandsons, Robbie, Johnathan (Alexis), and Wyatt; siblings Linda Heller and Roger Heller (Nadine) and sister-in-law Kay Heller; along with nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Lloyd and Rose Heller Sr; brother, Lloyd Heller Jr; and husband, John Orban Jr.
