Mr. Eddie Kay Jarvis of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Pickett Care and Rehabilitation Center in Byrdstown, Tennessee, having attained the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 28 days. He was born on Wednesday, January 22, 1947, in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Otis & Bertha Mae (Barber) Jarvis.

He was of the Baptist faith, attended Highway Church of the Nazarene, and worked for many years as an agricultural inspector for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Farming was both a part of his working life and something he continued to enjoy in his free time. Eddie also loved hunting, boating, traveling, and dancing. Whether at home or away, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and the time spent with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children, Eddie Kay Jarvis, Jr. of Burnside, Kentucky, Rebecca J. Cummins of Franklin, Tennessee, Allison Paige (& Clint) Ray of Albany, Kentucky; siblings, Jimmy (& Pixie) Jarvis of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Barbara (& Bob) Savage of Albany, Kentucky; grandchildren, Cain Ray, Peyton Cummins, Alexandra Ray, Aelin Ray; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 11:00am CST in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. John Ford officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, beginning at 5:00pm, and again on Thursday morning beginning at 6:00am until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the Albany Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, contribution appreciated toward the planting of memorial trees in honor of Eddie Kay Jarvis.
