Funeral Services for Jessie Padgett, age 90, of Crossville, Tennessee, will be conducted on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. David Harris will officiate. Interment in the Frost Cemetery, 1085 Sparta Drive, Crossville, Tennessee, will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to meet at the cemetery for the burial, or a funeral procession will depart from the Funeral Home at 9:00 AM. Mrs. Padgett was born on Saturday, August 8, 1936, in Crossville, Tennessee, to the late Edward McCoy and Leatha Bowman McCoy Harville. She was raised by and adored her late mother/grandmother, “Mammy”, Florence Bowman. Mrs. Padgett went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the Cumberland Medical Center. Mrs. Padgett was a housekeeper working with Cumberland Medical Center for 14 years. She loved her family and showed that love every day of her life. She loved baking, cooking, traveling with her daughters, and religious videos. She was a faithful member of Bakers Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church and loved living a faithful life, sharing her faith until God called her home. She was a loving and supportive wife to her husband, Clayton, and an amazing mother to her two daughters and their families. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Phil Jett of Crossville, TN; son-in-law, Stan Marion of Manchester, TN; grandson, Maxwell Jett of Maryville, TN; sister, Fay Taylor of the Rinnie Community; sister-in-law, Nell Whitaker of Anderson, IN; and a number of nieces, nephews, and an unknown number of friends. In addition to her parents and her grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clayton James Padgett; daughter, Beverley Marion; and an infant brother, Edward Lester McCoy. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM until time of services at 7:00 PM, and at the Cemetery on Saturday for interment.
